Compliance

Research Use Policy

PepLine supplies material strictly for laboratory and research use. This policy states what that means and what purchasers are responsible for.

Last updated: September 28, 2026

Scope

PepLine products are supplied strictly for laboratory and research purposes. They are not drugs, foods, dietary supplements, cosmetics, or medical products and are not intended for human or veterinary consumption or for the diagnosis, treatment, cure, or prevention of disease. Purchasers are responsible for lawful handling and compliance with applicable institutional and regulatory requirements.

This policy applies to every catalog entry PepLine lists, every order PepLine fulfils, and every document PepLine publishes. It applies whether or not it is referenced in a specific order confirmation.

What PepLine products are not

  • They are not drugs, and no medical use is intended or implied.
  • They are not foods, beverages or dietary supplements.
  • They are not cosmetics or personal care products.
  • They are not medical devices or diagnostic products.
  • They are not intended for human or veterinary consumption, administration or application, by any route, in any quantity.
  • They are not intended for the diagnosis, treatment, cure, mitigation or prevention of any disease or condition.

Prohibited uses

Purchasers must not use material supplied by PepLine:

  • In or on humans or animals, including self-administration.
  • In the manufacture or compounding of any product intended for human or animal use.
  • In any application requiring regulatory approval that the purchaser does not hold.
  • For resale or redistribution to a party that intends any of the above.

Purchaser responsibilities

By placing an order, the purchaser confirms that they are qualified to handle research materials and that they accept responsibility for:

  • Lawful receipt, handling, storage, use and disposal of the material.
  • Compliance with the requirements of their institution, including any internal approval, registration or safety review.
  • Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in their jurisdiction, including import requirements where relevant.
  • Determining whether the material is suitable for their intended research.
  • Ensuring that anyone they permit to access the material is informed of these restrictions.

No guidance on use

PepLine does not publish preparation instructions, administration guidance, quantities for use, or statements of expected physiological effect, and will not supply them on request. Support enquiries are limited to catalog information, documentation, and order fulfillment.

Requests for human-use or veterinary-use guidance cannot be answered. Where an enquiry indicates an intended use outside laboratory research, PepLine may decline to supply.

Documentation

Where documentation exists for a lot, it is published in the COA Library and linked from the relevant product record. Documentation describes the material as supplied. It is not an authorisation for any particular use and does not modify this policy.

Right to decline or cancel

PepLine may decline an order, cancel an order, or close an account where there is reason to believe that material would be used contrary to this policy, or where a purchaser will not confirm the research context of an order.

Changes

This policy may be updated. The version in effect at the time an order is placed applies to that order.
